About Is It Good AI
There are two kinds of AI review sites: ones that list every tool that exists, and ones that tell you which one to actually use. This is the second kind.
Is It Good AI exists because the LLM space moves fast and most coverage either goes too deep into benchmarks that don't reflect real use, or stays so surface-level it's useless. If you've ever Googled "is Claude or ChatGPT better" and gotten a 3,000-word article that ended with "it depends," you know the problem.
We give clear answers. Every comparison ends with a winner. Every use-case list has a #1. The reasoning is shown, not hidden.
How we rate models
Ratings are based on a combination of real-world task testing, independent benchmark data from sources like Artificial Analysis and Chatbot Arena, and hands-on use. We test on the tasks that matter to our readers: writing, coding, document analysis, and general Q&A.
Ratings are updated when a model receives a meaningful update. Pricing is verified from official provider documentation — we link to the source so you can check it yourself.
Who runs this
Is It Good AI is run by Justin Crump, an entrepreneur and web developer based in the midwest. Justin runs Polygon Digital, a web and SEO agency, and has been using AI tools professionally since 2022. He tests the tools covered on this site in real projects — not in a lab.
